We’ve all watched Avengers. It’s not just a mere inspiration for comic lovers, but there is a greater lesson about TEAMWORK that many of you might haven’t paid much attention to.
Not only Teamwork, but the value of teams that are together.
The message is that ONE is always better than one, that is, one team is better than one person. A group of ten will probably be able to accomplish much more than one single person. But when these ten people work together as a team, magic happens. But those people need to put their egos aside, trust each other and work together as one!
This magic began in Oxedent when our company began from a one-man army firm and today it has grown to a team of 12 enthusiasts.
Simon Sinek says “A team is not a group of people that work together. A team is a group of people that trust each other.”
The individuals might have pretty different views of the world and compromises will not come easily. But respect and trust for each other despite the incongruities is the main key for we see the values what others bring to the table. We became part of a whole which is greater than the sum of its parts through our hard work, trust in each other and the spirit to be one and unique team. We perform as a truly cohesive unit functioning towards a single purpose and accomplish wonders!
The abandonment of ego is what allows you to become part of a whole that is greater than the sum of its parts.
A big part of our job is also to ensure that we can retain a strong workplace culture for our company. We found ourselves in Oxedent, thanks to the several interesting coincidences happening that made our work life quite a happening one too! Today, we can say, on behalf of all our employees, with full confidence, that we have made the best decisions of their lives.
All are given the best opportunities for pursuing their boldest ideas and carry their leadership style that fits the idea of how a company must be run. We are an absolutely fantastic team, undoubtedly!
Our good atmosphere and chemistry have always been important for us and from the time each one of us came here, we have developed our organizational culture in our own unique mold.
But, for sure, we need to put more efforts and our thoughts for development as well as maintaining this culture and enhance it more and more in the bright future!
Ahead of all things, we run a unified team and for the long run, it is more important to keep the culture in focus right from the start.
If I had to define our company culture in 5 ways they would be:
- Xtra Smart work
We believe in talking less about EMPLOYEES, and more about PEOPLE. Having trust in our employees is one of the inseparable parts of Oxedent and hence we offer flexibility in terms of location or working hours. We try to do whatever is needed to keep our employees happy and encouraged as long as the workflow is well on.
You know what’s more interesting? During the lockdown days, while we worked remotely from each other, our team still spent almost the entire day with each other and we also conducted weekend meetings to spend time with one another apart from work hours. You know why? That’s because we love each other!
While deciding during recruitment, we care about details: grammar, self-expression and candidate’s hobbies and sense of humor, their values in teamwork, dreams and their achievement plans. We gauge if the person joining us carries a strong drive and will bring something new to our team that we could learn from him/her. Our ultimate goal remains the learning process.
We are true to our values and traditions and acknowledging these to our new employees keeps up the good atmosphere. I guess I am lucky at picking some really good comrades for my team and we have dealt quite well with the fast growth we have experienced down the years. Today, our team is growing bigger and better and we’re still having a lot of fun!
Kudos to Team Oxedent!
